The day after she graduated in 1964, she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. In the year 1967, Porter Wagoner was looking for the next girl to perform on his syndicated television show. Parton signed with RCA Records and then joined the Grand Ole Opry.
