Her parents are Harvey Welker who is Native American and Julie Welker who is African-American. She is the mother of a real-estate agent, while her father holds a degree in engineering. Walker received her schooling at Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood, graduating in 1994. She then went on to Harvard College where she earned an Associate of Arts degree in 1998. Welker is engaged to John Hughes a well-known marketing director for Merck located in Philadelphia and they have two kids. They started an affair in 2014. John her husband, is just four years older than her. Due to their relationship being so well-established, they decided to go to the next stage. The 4th of March 2017 was the day that they tied the knot. Philadelphia Pennsylvania hosted their wedding. At the Hyatt The Hyatt, they had a huge wedding.
